The beginning...

When Don and LaVon arrived the end of April, this is what they found, along with Dennis and Sally Maloney, ministry partners, who were feverishly working inside.
Dennis had already closed in the storage attic ends, with the help of his sons, Joe and Nate. Dennis, also had started painting. The original walls were metal gray.  Yuk.

Here's the small kitchen area.

The Missionary guest room looks pretty good, but those blue blinds must go, said Sally.

Looking at the front door, there is a definite issue. You you are 5'10" or taller, you must duck to walk through this door without bumping your head!  Also, don't let the color of the walls scare you. This picture distorts the color and makes it appear more florescent than it actually is.

This give you a little glimpse of the work ahead of us to get The Sycamores Chapel ready by the middle of September.

Pictures of the chapel "sanctuary" will be posted soon.

The Sycamores Chapel

Overview ...

The Sycamores Chapel is a unique church.  It acts as an international church in both scope and purpose and includes ministry to diverse cultures both foreign and domestic.
The church is elder led rather than under the control of a senior pastor.  Each of the elders is involved in the ministry of either CRM International or Life Borders International as an ordained and appointed Senior Chaplain.  These men are spiritually gifted to preach and teach and have served as senior pastors in other areas.
Sycamore Chapel is dedicated to the spiritual, physical, and health needs of the constituencies God has called us to serve. Currently, we work in the areas of health clinics, Christian education, spiritual formation, children's ministry, media and helps ministry in Central Asia, Western Africa, the US Virgin Islands, the resort communities of the southern US, and the least served populations of Eastern Oklahoma where the facilities are located and maintained.
Our goal is to serve the least evangelized areas of the world.  We would enjoy welcoming you to our midst no matter where you are on your personal spiritual journey.
